Kalgoorlie Fashion Week 2021 CANCELLED [ ABC Radio ]

Kalgoorlie Fashion Week was an exciting event for up-and-coming designers and models in the community.

Founder Yasmin Walter says it had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic, and the uncertainty around live events going forward makes it difficult to pull off an event like this.

That uncertainty, on top of cuts to key funding has meant this year's fashion week has also been canned.

It was started six years ago, and Ms Walter says it costs roughly $150,000 a year to put together.
