My name is Yasmin Walter and I’m a business-holic. Since the age of 17, I have always operated under myself and I don’t plan on slowing down any time soon.

So what exactly do I do? A Jill of all trades if you like. I’m currently dipping my fingers in a few projects. As a former model, I founded Model Camp Australia to create a platform of advancement for young, aspiring models. This rolled into a partnership with SASS Management to build opportunities for my local talent nationwide.

I found myself in rural WA, holding workshops for aspiring models when a light bulb flicked on in my over active brain...why is there no fashion events here? And viola, Kalgoorlie Fashion Week was born.

It was real life beauty & the geek, when I waddled my 7 and a half months pregnant self to America to sell my tech company Tagroom. The company was acquired by New York based, dual-listed technology company MOKO Social Media Limited (NAQDAQ + ASX).

As a small business owner, I understand that most small business owners couldn't afford to set up shop in a major shopping centre, so I created a platform for these entrepreneurs to split the costs. The Market Hub Perth is a pop up shop that stocks locally owned and operated products. Vendors pay for their portion of space which covers staff fees too. And the best part about it, they keep 100% of their sales ingraining the mentality of #suportlocal.

And because I wasn't busy enough, my husband and I have invested in KMD Books, a publishing house based in Perth dedicated to supporting aspiring authors and thought leaders. I then developed the children's book division - Little K Books.

I teamed up with my sister and high school friend to open We Gather Studio - a wellness centre offering a variety of services to support feminine energy through creativity, spirituality, movement and motherhood. Within this space I operate a 3D baby ultrasound clinic called The Bub Society.

I’m also a firm believer of balance in life, so when I’m not girlbossing around Perth, I’m dancing to YouTube videos with my 6 year old daughter, changing nappies for my 2.5 yr old daughter, eating doughnuts, binging out on TV series with my husband or cooking up a feast for family and friends. I have a black belt in the kitchen and I bake goodies that are too pretty to eat.

Innovative, dedicated and creative explains the genetic makeup behind my success however I didn’t choose the hustler-preneur life, It chose me.
