My name is Yasmin Walter and I’m a business-holic. Since the age of 17, I have always operated under myself and I don’t plan on slowing down any time soon.

 

I am a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, an international bestselling author of three books, and a thought leader for the Forbes Business Council. As a self-proclaimed business-holic, i’ve been a force in the entrepreneurial world since the age of 17, and I show no signs of slowing down. With a diverse range of ventures, I wear many hats as a Jill of all trades.

As a former model, I founded Model Camp Australia, providing a platform for aspiring models to advance in their careers, which led to a partnership with SASS Management, expanding opportunities for local talent across the nation. I sold this business to a past student, so that was a beautiful full circle moment. My passion for innovation led me to create Kalgoorlie Fashion Week, filling a gap in the fashion scene of rural Western Australia.

One of the most extraordinary chapters in my entrepreneurial journey happened when I was seven and a half months pregnant. I embarked on a trip to the United States to sell my tech company, Tagroom—an online media company experiencing rapid growth—to MOKO Social Media Limited, a New York-based company listed on NASDAQ (MOKO) and ASX (MKB). It was an incredible experience, to say the least.

Understanding the challenges small business owners face, I founded The Market Hub Perth, a pop-up shop that supports local entrepreneurs by offering affordable shared retail space. Always seeking new ventures, I also invested in KMD Books, a publishing house that nurtures aspiring authors, and I founded the children’s book division, Little K Books.

Together with my sister, I opened We Gather Studio, a wellness centre offering services to support feminine energy. Within the studio, I also operate The Bub Society, a 3D baby ultrasound clinic.

Despite my busy entrepreneurial life, I prioritise balance and enjoy dancing, travelling, spending time with my daughters (especially our loungeroom dance parties), indulging in doughnuts, watching trashy TV series, and exploring my passion for cooking.

My success comes from my innovative mindset, unwavering dedication, and creative approach. As I continue to embrace the hustle-preneur life, I remain excited for what’s next on this incredible journey.
